The Green Needham Collaborative (GNC) is an expanding group of individuals with a common interest in energy and the environment. A key GNC objective is providing opportunities for communication and collaborative projects among institutions, local organizations, and interested citizens.

GNC's priority is to advance projects related to energy efficiency and sustainable design that will help the Town of Needham and its residents:

* Reduce the use of fossil fuels;
* Save money on energy;
* Promote innovation in energy conservation and energy production, including renewables; and
* Offer collaborative, educational opportunities for Olin College & Needham Public School students to engage in related projects.

Initiated in September of 2006, GNC has provided a forum for discussion of energy-related topics, including new and emerging technologies, as well as local and state initiatives aimed at reducing the use of fossils fuels.
