There are active groups and projects in the Needham Public Schools focused on sustainability. These include:
- Green Kids Needham
- PEAT - Pollard Environmental Action Team
- High School Environmental Club
Additionally, the Needham Public Schools are preparing to support the expanded recycling program from the Needham Recycling and Transfer Station that will result in full recycling at all Needham's schools this coming school year.
